For this song, I focused on the sense of loss within the lyrics. The “sickened thirst” conveys a deep sense of being disturbed, as if something natural and right has turned on the individual. I wasn’t sure how to approach this piece, so I travelled to Manchester and photographed the environment until I eventually found a suitable image. From there, I painted it over in an attempt to lost the vibrancy of the subject, in a similar way to the loss of singer.
